General Rules • All participants play in all six rounds • Each round is played over 9 holes of golf and a 35 point tennis doubles match • The toss of a coin will decide which team serves first or tees off first
Tennis Rules • Each pair must maintain the same serving order for the entire match, with one player commencing serve from the right-hand side of the court and his/her partner commencing serve from the left-hand side of the court • Service alternates after each 5 serves until one team reaches 35 points • Players change ends at the completion of 20 points (5 serves each) • Both teams then divide their “total number of points won” by 7 to find their tennis score • Every 7 points won equates to 1 golf hole
Golf Rules • Match play rules of golf plus local rules apply • All players play off scratch (i.e. No handicaps) • Men and women are to play from separate designated tees • A “Canadian Foursomes” is played as follows: . Both players tee off and then choose one ball for the second shot . Once you have selected the ball to hit, this ball must be used until it is holed out • Players are not allowed to substitute balls on the putting surface • 1 point is scored for each hole won outright • If the match is halved after adding the golf and tennis scores, a countback to the last golf hole won outright will determine the winning pair
NB: ALL GOLF AND TENNIS MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED TO COMPLETION AS EACH POINT WON COUNTS TOWARDS YOUR FINAL SCORE.
Countback Rules • If there is a tie in any pool, the pair that defeated the other tied pair in the preliminary rounds is declared the winner • If there is a three way tie in any pool, the pair with the most number of points "for" is declared the winner. Second place is then determined by the pair that defeated the other pair during the preliminary rounds.
