The toss of the coin will decide
the serving team.
Maintain the same serving order
for the entire match with one player
commencing serve from the right-hand
side, the other commencing serve
from the left-hand side.
Service alternates after each 5
points until one team reaches 35 points.
Both teams then divide their number
of points won by 7 to find
their tennis score.
7 tennis points equate to 1 golf
hole with whole multiples of 7 points
required for each golf hole equivalent.
Players change ends at the completion
of each 20 points.
THE GOLF RULES
Matchplay rules of golf plus
local rules apply.
Men play from the WHITE tees.
Ladies play from the RED tees.
A “Canadian Foursomes” format
will be played. (Both tee off then
choose one ball for the second shot).
Score 1 point for each hole
won outright.
If the match is halved after adding
the golf and tennis scores
together, a countback to the last golf
hole won outright will determine
the winner.
All players play off scratch.
(No Handicaps)
WINNER: The winning pair will be the team with the most wins after the Round Robin matches are complete.
COUNTBACK: If there is a tie in any pool, the pair that defeated the other tied pair in the preliminary rounds is declared the winner.
If there is a three-way tie in any pool, the pair with the highest number of points scored (for) is declared the winner. Second placing is then determined by the pair that defeated the other pair during the preliminary rounds.
The toss of a coin will decide which team serves first in tennis and tees off first in golf regardless of who is leading after the previous discipline.
TEAM COMPETITION & RULES
The event is over three days and consists of the following:
Wednesday Morning: Two Man Ambrose – Stroke
Wednesday Afternoon: Four Ball Best Ball – Stroke
Thursday Morning: Two Man Ambrose – Stroke
Thursday Afternoon: Four Ball Best Ball – Stroke
Friday Morning: Two Man Ambrose – Stroke
Friday Afternoon: Four Ball Best Ball – Stroke
The matches have been randomly drawn for each day.
Scoring:
Your team score, after each round, will accumulate on the leader board.
The Team with the least number of strokes, not wins, after the six (6) rounds, will be declared the winner.
If there is a tie after the completion of six (6) rounds, there will be a playoff down the 9th hole, Gold, using the ‘Four Ball Best Ball’ format until there is a winner.
Handicaps for each format:
Two Man Ambrose – Teams of 2 must select their best tee shot – each player must then play from that spot, ONE CARD LENGTH FROM ORIGINAL SELECTED BALL, after which the best ball is chosen again. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed and the gross score recorded. The team Handicap for Ambrose is the combined handicap of each player divided by 4 and then divided by 2 due to playing 9 holes.
Four Ball Best Ball – You are now playing individually and taking the best stroke score, per hole, per team.
Use your GA handicap and take the holes for the nine you are playing. Use the Men’s Index on the scorecard to find where you do or don’t get a shot. If you have a handicap of 14, you will receive approx. 7 shots on each nine.
The lowest handicap is scratch and all handicaps will be your GA handicap.
